Abstract:The Quakalator is an economical earthquake alarm/detector. The metal rods, which are inserted into the earth, detect vibrations caused by earthquakes. Should there be an earthquake, the metal rods vibrate, causing the earthquake alarm to move in a pendulum motion. This motion completes an electrical circuit.
