My name is Robert Larsen and I am a Grade 9 student at Summerside Intermediate School. At school, I’m involved in the Leadership program, Concert Band, Showband, Cross-Country, and Science Club. My favourite subjects are math and science. Some of my hobbies include: playing the piano, step-dancing, and 4-H, where I take Power Foods, Foods 2, Archery, the Vet project and rabbits. I enjoy 4-H very much: it is one of the best youth organizations going! I have owned and bred rabbits for the past six years. In the summer I have lots of fun showing my rabbits at Island fairs; we’re not shy of trophies in our house. I also live on a beef farm: I enjoy helping Dad with chores around the barn, working land, cutting hay, baling straw and spreading manure throughout the year. I have had great success with my science fair project as it has placed second in both my school and regional science fairs in the intermediate division. I have participated in the school fair and have made it to the provincial fair for four years; this is my first year going to the CWSF. |

Challenge: | Resources | Category: | Intermediate | Region: | Prince Edward Island | City: | Borden-Carleton , PE | School: | Summerside Intermediate School | Abstract: | There are many different brand names of rabbit food, but which one is best for young rabbits? Rabbit owners need to ensure their rabbits are given high quality feeds that result in consistent and healthy weight gains. By conducting this experiment I’ve determined the rabbit feed that results in the best weight gain, is the most economically feasible and has the most consistent weight gains. |
