Biography
My name is Muhammad Aadil Waja, I am of African descent and am in my grade 12 year of high school in North Bay at Widdifield Secondary School. My life in high school is fast coming to a close; during my time I have taken part in the badminton team and the tennis team. I have also participated in many math contests, the biology contest, and this is my third year at science fair, my first going to Canada Wide. I also volunteer at the hospital as well as having volunteered at the North Bay Food Bank. I am very interested in tennis, but I also enjoy squash, video and computer games, table soccer, pool, and table tennis. After this year I plan to move on to take Chemical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Eventually becoming a chemical engineer before perhaps moving on into business.

Remediation Sensation
Division:Engineering & Computing Sciences / Environmental Innovation
Category:Senior
Region:North Bay
City:North Bay, ON
School:Widdifield Secondary
Abstract:Remediation Sensation is an attempt to introduce a potentially new method of breaking down pollutant textile dyes. Throughout the course of this experiment, I am using electrical voltages of 6, 12, and 18 volts to break down the dye molecules in a dye solution. I am comparing this against the use of pure iron metal, also known as Zero Valent Iron as a remediation method.
