My name is Robin Ilgok, but many people refer to me as 'Pocco'. I was born in Yellowknife, and moved to Kugluktuk, Nunavut when I was very young. When I was 11 I moved back to Yellowknife where I used to skateboard, bike, play road hockey and soccer. In grade 10, I moved back to Kugluktuk where I participated in my first Science Fair. I also enjoy skidooing and going out on the land. When I was younger I would go on the land with my dad and hunt caribou. When I gradtuate I would like to become a carpenter or a mechanic because I like to work with my hands. |

Division: | Internationale / Aucun | Catégorie: | Intermédiaire | Région: | Kitikmeot | Ville: | kugluktuk, NU | École: | Kugluktuk H.S. | Sommaire: | When people shuffle their feet across the carpet and then touch a metal door knob then they get a shock. I demonstrated how static electricity works to explain how shocks work. In the north, it can get really dry in the winter and this allows electrons to move easier, resulting in more shocks. |
