I am 18 years old and have lived in La Ronge, Saskatchewan all my life. I enjoy figure skating, softball, snowboarding, kayaking and cheerleading. This season I was captain of the cheer team. I am also on the student representative council and in the yearbook club. I volunteer two to three hours a week in a kindergarten class where I teach and play with the children. Last fall I toured Saskatchewan with the Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Forum and I met the great leaders of my province. Last spring I won the Citizen of the Year Award for my involvement in school activities. After high school I plan to attend the University of Saskatchewan to earn a bachelors of Science degree and pursue my dream to attend the University of Waterloo to become an optometrist. |
