Biography
I attend South Peace Secondary School in Dawson Creek B.C. I am an early French immersion student so I am bilingual. After school I enjoy playing Basket Ball, Volley Ball and I am a competitive swimmer. I also enjoy volunteering with the local Rotary and Interact clubs in my town. One of my hobbies is playing piano; I also enjoy singing and music in general. I am interested in biology and chemistry, though I find astronomy fascinating as well. Really I’m interested in science. In grade 8 I won the science award at school for having the top marks in science for my grade and I have been attending Regional science fairs since grade four. In grade 8 won three different special awards at my region’s science fair and in grade 9 I won two awards one of which was the Canadian Woman in Science and Technology Award. At this year's regional fair I won the BC Biologist's award. This will be my fourth year attending the Canada Wide Science Fair. I attended the ones in Vancouver, Saguenay, and Truro. For my future career I hope to be a pharmacist.

Abstract:This project explored the anti bacterial properties of Garlic against E. coli and then compared them to Amoxicillin and Sulfatrim-DS. I used several different kinds of medicinal solutions, which I placed in bacteria cultures of E. coli. I found that Sulfatrim was the most effective at clearing the bacteria, followed by Amoxicillin, then Raw Garlic Disks, and then diluted raw Garlic and water.
