Abstract:Traditionally, soil is made fertile by using fertilizers, however harmful environmental effects often result. This project explores the use of compost tea as a soil conditioner. Various plants were grown using compost tea, compost, manure and fertilizer and their growth was compared. I concluded that compost tea is an environmentally friendly use of resources as a soil conditioner with potential local impact.
