Alayna Witzel, age 12, is a grade 7 Dean’s List student at Pacific Academy School in Surrey, British Columbia and is fascinated with Science. She won the Gold Medal and the Advanced Systems Integrators Scholarship at the Surrey Regional Science Fair. She has completed her Royal Conservative Grade Eight Practical Piano Exam with First Class Honors with Distinction. Alayna plays percussion in the Pacific Academy Grade 7 band and is a pianist in the Grade 7 Jazz band. Alayna was the youngest student accepted into the UBC Summer Vocal Program and has attended for three years consecutively. Alayna has won many voice scholarships and medals, most recently winning 6 Gold Medals and a Scholarship at the International Kiwanis Music Festival. Alayna is on the basketball and track team at Pacific Academy. In 2006, she placed 2nd at the District finals in baseball, in 2005, at the age of 10 she won the Langley Triathlon, and in 2003 at the age of eight she won a Silver Medal at Provincials for Diving. Alayna is a hard worker, is dedicated, loyal, and has a heart for God and others. She loves horseback riding, time with her friends and doing her best. |

A slow controlled steady rate of cooling the solution from 230°F to room temperature over a 24-hour period produces the highest quantity and quality (large, clear prism formations) crystals comparable to those produced commercially. |
