I am a grade nine student from Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute in Lindsay, Ontario. I participated in the 2007 Canada-Wide Science Fair in Truro, Nova Scotia, and enjoyed it. My favourite subjects include Math, Science, History, Geography, and French. I love pets, especially cats! I have had the opportunity to serve as a grade representative on my school’s Students’ Administrative Council. I have participated in the Pascal Mathematics Contest for Grade Nine students, run by the University of Waterloo. In the winter, I like to cross-country ski and curl. In the summer, I like to swim and bicycle. In my spare time, I enjoy reading. I keep myself up-to-date in current affairs and events. I currently serve on the Executive Board for the Haliburton—Kawartha Lakes—Brock NDP Riding Association. I have actively campaigned in the federal elections of 2004 and 2006, as well as the provincial election of 2007. In addition, I also serve of the Official Board of the Oakwood United Church. I have personally met David Suzuki, Maude Barlow, Howard Hampton, and Jack Layton. My career plans include Law and Politics. My ultimate goal is to become the Prime Minister of Canada. |

A statistically significant (95% level or higher) pattern of preference was found with female cats showing preference for the left side when compared to male cats. Paw preference was tested over two years (2007/2008) with male cats showing significant (95% level or higher) right paw preference and female cats showing significant left paw preference during problem solving. |
