Restrain Yourself
Division:Life Sciences / Automotive

Region:Northern Manitoba
City:Thompson, MB
School:Riverside School
Abstract:Scientific studies have conclusively proven that properly fitted head restraints reduce “whiplash” neck injuries in rear end motor vehicle collisions. My study investigated the public’s utilization habits and knowledge of correct head restraint positioning. I concluded that a lack of knowledge, rather than a willful indifference of proper head restraint positioning is the likely cause of the driving public’s poor utilization habits.
