By adding vitamins and spices to mung beans in a hydrogen peroxide and water solution, observing seed germination rate, I evaluated their antioxidant effects against free radicals. My results indicate that basil was just as effective as beta carotene as an antioxidant , protecting the beans from damage by the free radicals. |
