| Morgan Hoot Handwashing and Gloves: Making the Right Choice
Division: | Life Sciences / None | Category: | Intermediate | Region: | Cariboo Mainline | City: | Kamloops, BC | School: | St Ann's Academy | Abstract: | The improper use of gloves can expose a patient to a hospital infection. Therefore, the purpose of this project was to determine if there was a relationship between bacterial growth and the length of time that gloves are worn. Results indicate that bacterial growth does increase the longer that gloves are worn thereby revealing that gloves do not replace the need for proper handwashing. |
