Biography
My name is Omar Choudhury, I’m seventeen years old, and currently attending Centennial Regional High School in secondary five. I’m from Brossard, Québec, and am an avid supporter of the Montréal Canadiens hockey team! This is the first time I will be showcasing a project at the national level for the science fair, and it is definitely a great honour to be a part of the CWSF. I am interested primarily in the fields of physics, and applied sciences; however, I am also interested in other fields such as health and computer science. In the future, I would like to shape my career towards a domain which involves those scientific aspects to it. I regularly volunteer in and out of school, serving as a helper at the Montréal General Hospital throughout the summer. I enjoy playing hockey and tennis, in addition to swimming and making movies as leisure activities. This year my project is about Antibiotic Resistance and the major problem that the world faces when trying to treat bacterial infections and cure people of their illnesses. I saw it as a dilemma that needed to be addressed immediately and hence researched and experimented methods of preventing antibiotic resistance.
