| My name is Rachel McLay and I live in Stokes Bay. I live on Stokes Bay Shores, with Lake Huron right in front of my house. I live with my mom, step-dad, two-year old brother and orange fat cat. I have a sister who lives in Sarnia, and a Dad and brother who live in London. I am 14 years old, in grade 8 and attend Bruce Peninsula District School in Lion's Head. I am on our school's elementary student council as the secretary. I play on all of the sport teams at our school. I succeed in x-country running and track and field awards. My grades for every class are above average, and my highest marks are achieved in the subjects phys-ed, English, French, history and science. I enjoy reading, I love writing, I like to be active, and I'm an animal-lover. I spend most of my time outdoors walking, biking, and swimming in the summer. I have my Bronze-Medallion for lifeguarding and this summer I am taking my Bronze-Cross. I play the piano, and I am getting my grade three this coming June. I play girl's hockey throughout the winter, and I am playing lacrosse this spring. |

It was found that CFLs do not emit dangerous levels of ultraviolet radiation and are safe for people if the CFLs are disposed of properly. It was determined that the energy-saving benefits of using CFLs more than compensates for any mercury emissions caused by their production. |
