| I am a grade 10 student at Riverview Rural High School. At school I participate iin track and feild. My main passion since the age of 6 has been figure skating. I am a member of the Antigonish Figure Skating Club and practice several times a week. I have participated at Junoir Nationals and Eastern Challenge competitions. I am currently a member of the Nova Scotia Provincal Figure Skating Team (EDGE). I am also involved in highland and Scottish step dancing. I have travelled to the United States to represent Canada at an international dancing competition in July, 2008. My future plans are to explore my interest in science at Dalhousie University. I am considering a career as a research scientist or possibly in medicine. |

These volunteers were tested immediately after consultation with the surgeon and again at two and six weeks post consultation. This was designed to determine if the patients retained sufficient information to sign an informed consent at the time of operation. Causes for poor results were explored. |
