| I am a grade eight student from Hanna, Alberta. I live on a small ranch with my parents and three sisters. We have horses, and a small number of cattle and sheep. I have been an active member in 4-H for the past 5 years and participate in both beef and sheep projects. I play center offence on the school football team and goalie for the U14 soccer team. In the winter, I curl competitively and spend most weekends traveling to bonspiels and competitions. In the summer, I spend as much time as possible on the golf course. I’m a volunteer and committee member for the Hanna Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and a member of the Hanna Rod and Gun Club. In the fall I do a lot of hunting both locally and in the Rocky Mountains on horseback. My interests include most sports, wildlife, music and outdoor activities such as fishing, camping and trail riding. I would like to pursue a career in Fish and Wildlife upon completion of high school. |

The need for such a device was established through extensive communication with veterinarians, pet owners and enforcement officers. Experiments were conducted for the development of an alpha prototype. |
