Biographie
I am a grade 11 student at West Kings High School in Kings County Nova Scotia and I am on the high school hockey team. I have been in 4-H for 9 years. I am involved in projects such as dog obedience, fisheries, sheep, poultry, waterfowl, vet science, market lamb market turkey, and self determined. I also have won first place in public speaking at the Nova Scotia 4-H provincial weekend. I am also on the Kings County 4-H Tug-Of-War provincial champion team and the Kings County 4-H provincial champion woodsmen team. I work at the Oaklawn Farm Zoo in Aylesford. My hobbies are fishing, camping, hiking, fly tying, raising and showing Border Collies, and paintball. I live on a farm and I have many pets such as 50 gallon reef aquarium, African Grey Parrot, chameleon, stick bugs, cockatiel, Border Collie and a hedgehog. I am also going to Barzil in August for a year with Rotary Youth Exchange. I would like to learn more about our oceans and take a marine biology coarse and get my bachelors in science. I am interested in working at a bigger zoo in the marine or reptiles department.

Sommaire:My project is on the symbiotic relationship with coral and a dinoflagellate algae called zooanthellae. I examined nine different species of corals and one pest anemone under a high powered microscope to see which species of coral/anemone would contain the most zooxanthellae algae and what the different corals/anemone were relying on for food. Then I compared the growth of the different species of corals.
