Division:Internationale / Aucun
Catégorie:Junior
Région:South Fraser
Ville:Langley, BC
École:Pacific Academy
Sommaire:My project studies the effect of the rate of cooling of a supersaturated solution of sugar and water to form rock candy. A slow controlled steady rate of cooling the solution from 230°F to room temperature over a 24-hour period produces the highest quantity and quality (large, clear prism formations) crystals comparable to those produced commercially.
