My name is Rebecca, but most people know me as Becky. I’m 17 years old currently a level 2 student attending Holy Heart High School in St. John’s, Newfoundland. I’m an active member of my school community being a member of the Jr. Girls Volleyball team, Girls Hockey team and concert choir. Outside of school I play organized soccer and hockey and I also spend my spare time reading, swimming, playing piano and dancing. I really enjoy volunteering in my community, I coach a soccer team during the summer, tutor Jr. High students in math, and canvass for the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Currently I am working on achieving my silver award for the Duke of Edinburgh Award and I also work a part time job at the local movie theatres. Recently, one of my greatest accomplishments was winning Best in Fair at my regional fair as well as first place at the Sanofi-Aventis Biotalent Challenge. I am very excited to be attending CWSF again as I have previously attended in Truro, Nova Scotia in 2007. Once finished high school I plan to achieve a post-secondary degree in science and continue on to medical school and become a doctor. |
