Amanda - Amanda Eng was born on May 5th ,1995 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She attends Albert Street Middle School and is an excellent student in all of her school subjects, as well as her other activities. She has received many academic awards such as Student of the Month, 2nd in a school math competition, 3rd in the grade 7 oratorical competition, and was also chosen to participate in the Heritage Fair in her district. She enjoys many extra curricular activities, like gymnastics, playing the flute, band, and she attends Chinese school every Sunday. She likes swimming, art and is a very creative person. In the future, she plans to earn all 95% or above in her studies in the french immersion program. She also hopes to become an accountant or dentist. | Tess - Tess McDonald was born on February 14, 1995 in Melbourne, Australia. She has lived in many places, but since 2001 she has lived in Fredericton and now attends Albert Street Middle School. Last year, Tess returned to Australia for six months and attended Ogilvie High School. Tess enjoys school and many extra-curricular sports such as basketball and volleyball. In the past few years, she has received many academic and athletic awards such as student of the month, athlete of the month, fifth place in a school math competition, and first place at the district and regional science fairs in2008. In the future, Tess plans to get 90% or more in all of her subjects in middle school, and also plans to be a teacher and travel around the world. |

Fifty subjects were tested and it was discovered that 78% of them experienced brain freezes and that they are more common when the palate is exposed. Brain freezes occur when a cold substance is consumed quickly and the body reacts by dilating the blood vessels which causes the pain. |
