Biography
My name is Sophie Healey and I am in grade 8 at North Grenville District High School in Kemptville, Ontario. I play competitive hockey and soccer, and also enjoy playing volleyball, basketball and running for cross-country and track and field. I got the idea for my project from a book talk on the radio. The author indicated that before she gave any lectures, she always asked her audience the same question. That question became the inspiration for my experiment. For the last 2 years my science fair projects have been in the field of psychology. I find these types of projects to be very interesting; there are so many questions around human thought, behavior and perceptions that are unanswered! My advice to anyone who wants to start a project is to find a field that they are interested in. You will be thinking and talking about your project a lot- so make sure you like what you are doing!

Abstract:You have a meeting scheduled for Wednesday at 9 am. Your colleague has told you the meeting has been moved ahead 2 days. What day is the meeting on? How you answer this simple question reveals how you think about time. My experiment shows the differences in time perception based on age, gender- and more.
