Biography
My name is Tania Bangura. I’m 17 yrs old. I was born in Montreal in 1992. I moved to Waskaganish, QC in 2000. Waskaganish is a small Cree community in James Bay Quebec. I’ve lived here for more than half of my life. Right now I’m attending École Wiinibekuu School, I speak, read and write 3 languages English, French and Cree. It’s also here in Waskaganish I started to have an interest for science. I did a few science projects over the years. I was in grade 4 when I participated in my first regional science fair, but this year is the first time I won the regional and provincial aboriginal science fair. I always participate in school activities like the public speaking contest, guitar club and after school sports (basketball). I play ice hockey with the community team. I snow board on my own time. I’m always listening to music. I like hanging out with my friends. In the near future: Next year I plan to move to Montreal and attend college to pursue my dream career and become an architect or an engineer in architecture.
