| Kirstan Cruse, Lindsay Dimler Solar Separation: The Production of Eco-Friendly Fuel
Division: | Health Sciences / Automotive | Category: | Intermediate | Region: | Central Interior British Columbia | City: | Prince George, BC | School: | Westside Academy | Abstract: | The goal of this project was to determine if, by using solar energy to split hydrogen and oxygen from water, we could produce enough hydrogen fuel to run a fuel cell vehicle in northern climate low light levels. Using a solar panel for the process of electrolysis to produce the hydrogen, we discovered that our hypothesis was correct and we could also reduce greenhouse emissions. |
