Biographie
I am a grade ten student from Hanna, Alberta. I live on a small ranch with my parents and three sisters. My interests include most sports, wildlife, music and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping. I play defensive end on the high school football team. In the winter, I curl competitively and spend most weekends traveling to bonspiels and competitions. I am also a certified club coach for the junior curling program and I volunteer on Thursday afternoons as an assistant coach. In the summer, I spend a fair amount of time on the golf course where I also work part-time. I have been a volunteer and committee member for the Hanna Chapter of Ducks Unlimited for the past five years. I am also a member of the Hanna Rod and Gun Club. Upon completion of high school, I would like to pursue a career in Fish and Wildlife and hope to market my invention, the SafeD Pet Monitor as well. I have attended CWSF on two occasions; at Ottawa in 2008 and again in Winnipeg in 2009.

Sommaire:This engineering project focused on the prototype testing of the SafeD Pet Monitor; a device which monitors a number of conditions within an environment to ensure the safety of a pet(s) when left unsupervised. Professional and consumer feedback was obtained to help define modifications for a final stage of prototype development. As well, a number of steps were initiated to move the device towards commercialization.
