My name is Leto Miminis. I’m 17 years old and am currently a grade 12 student attending Mount Pearl Senior High School, in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Throughout my high school years, I have been very active in my school and community participating in the school band, mount pearl show choir, tutoring for tuition and also volunteering at the health sciences center as a nurses assistant. I enjoy reading, writing and playing the violin and flute. I am also interested in linguistics as I am fluent in Greek and French and hope to learn Spanish and Italian in later years. Next year I am planning to attend Memorial University where I am hoping to major in Biochemistry. I am very interested in a career as a medical researcher and aspire to become involved with Cancer Research. This is my first year being a part of the CWSF and I am thrilled to have this experience prior to continuing with post-secondary studies. |
