| Ecological Footprint - The Most Important Accounting Tool For The Planet?
Division: | Engineering & Computing Sciences / Environmental Innovation | Category: | Junior | Region: | | City: | , | School: | | Abstract: | This project attempts to make information on our ecological footprint readily available to the public by proposing a “footprint meter”, a “footprint accounting system” and by providing example calculations for our footprint for items such as a cheeseburger. A simulated model of the footprint meter showing the effect of household energy use is developed. Footprints were estimated for 12 households through a survey. |
