| Will - Will Preston is a grade 8 student at Vineland Public School. His hobbies include: fine wood working (turning and furniture making), precision metal work, 2-D animation, developing innovative solutions to solve every day problems. He also enjoys designing jigs and fixtures as wells as sailing, boardsailing/windsurfing, paintballing, solving puzzles, creating stop-motion animations and digital photography. Last year at the Niagara Regional Science and Engineering Fair, Will and his partner Wyatt Hoadley won four awards for their Cat-Food-Amatic innovation. Will has also been recognized for his skills in animation by being showcased on Discovery Channel's Daily Planet and more recently winning a Gold medal at the DSBN animation competition. Will hopes to attend McMaster University for mechanical engineering. Eventually he would like to contribute to society by designing machines that would improve wood and metal working. | | Wyatt - Wyatt Hoadley is a grade 8 student at Vineland Public School. His hobbies include: working on science fair projects, 2D animation, baseball, batch scripting, and graphic design. Last year, Wyatt designed an innovation with Will Preston called the Cat-Food-Amatic. My past achievements include earning 4 awards in the Niagara Regional Science and Engineering Fair, and being part of a team who won a gold medal at the DSBN 2-D animation competition. In the future, Wyatt hopes to attend Sheridan College in Oakville to study graphic design as well as 2-D and 3-D animation techniques. |

The two main ones being: the abrasive material wears out quickly and the device begins producing mess by flaking off carpet pieces. The Scratch-O-Maniac solves these design flaws by distributing the wear on the carpet, increasing the lifespan and reducing mess. The Scratch-O-Maniac is an effective design solution for scratching posts. |
