Abstract:I wanted to design a Vertical-axis wind turbine. My purpose was to determine if my vertical-axis turbine was better than a horizontal-axis turbine at producing energy. I tested the turbine's blades by using a fan to calculate RPM's. My results showed my turbine didn't produce more than the horizontal-axis turbine. My conclusion is my wind turbine was able to produce a minimal amount of energy.
