Biographie
My name is Mariem Oloroso and I am a grade 10 student at High Level Public School. My hobbies and interests include reading, music, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family. I am a keen student and have received the academic award in grades 1 through 9. During our community's "Idol" competition, in which Farley Flex was a guest judge, my sister and I placed second. I received the band award in grade 7 and, together with my band, achieved a "Superior" rating at an annual band festival in grade 9. I was a co-captain of my school's Jr. Girls Basketball Team in grade 8, and in the following year, our team went on to win the 3J Zones Championship for the first time in our school's history. In the 2007 and 2008 basketball seasons, I received the team's "Most Sportsmanlike" award. I really enjoy science and have participated in science fairs since grade 3 at school, divisional, and regional levels. I am very excited to attend my first CWSF and plan on taking my interest in science further by attending university to study medicine.

Sommaire:Different ground media were tested to find out which one had the best water filtering abilities. It was found that media composed of tiny particles without inorganic matter, such as sand, are the best media to filter rainwater. This is a beginning step in developing a natural, inexpensive water filtration system for people around the world who do not have exceptional water conditions.
