Biography
My name is Jordan Adamich and I am 14 years old. I’m in grade 8 at St. Monica’s Catholic Elementary school in Barrie, Ontario. This is my second year attending the CWSF and it is a great honour. At the Simcoe County Regional Fair I received the a gold metal in the Engineering Category, best in the enngineering category, the peer choice award, the Mubdi Rahman Design award, and the stepping stone award. Once I graduate from grade 12, I plan to attend university to study engineering. I love to play sports. My favourite sport is soccer. I actually play soccer at a competitive level and hope to become a professional one day. Other sports I enjoy include: volleyball, football and badminton. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, because we always have a good time together and we always have many of laughs.

Abstract:This experiment creates and tests new concrete mix designs that are environmentally friendly, by using different types and quantities of microspheres in place of sand and gravel. This concrete is lighter in weight and benefits our environment by using less cement, reducing CO2 emissions and reducing fuel consumption. These mix designs are better insulating and can reduce the cost of heating and cooling homes.
