Biographies
Alan - I was born in Toronto, in 1996. I have lived in the same house all my life. However, I have also visited many different places in the world, as my family loves to travel. Some of my hobbies are; collecting stamps, painting with oil paints and I like nothing more than playing my guitar. I also love animals and have always been interested in learning about their behavior, as well as interacting with them. I have achieved a Master Level in Karate, as well as a Jr. Life Guard Award in swimming. I am also in the CyberARTS program at Don Mills Middle School. This program is for children that have good grades, keep up with technological innovations, and have artistic skills. I have received several awards over the last few years: the Principal's Award for Student Leadership, one Merit Award, four Honour Roll placements, an Honour Award in science, and second and first place in the Science Fair at Don Mills Middle School. I feel that my most prominent achievement is having been accepted to participate at the Canada Wide Science Fair, after winning a gold medal in the Toronto Sci-Tech Fair in 2009.
Jonathan - I am a grade 7 student at Don Mills Middle School. I live in Toronto, ON. I have many interests. My greatest interest is animals. I have spent many summers at the Toronto Zoo Camp. I also enjoy swimming, skiing and many other sports. I was on the school swim team this year. I also have a brown belt in Karate. My house is like a Zoo. I have 8 pet animals in my house, including my younger brother. As a career, I think I would like to be a Veteranarian. I have received a number of school awards including honour roll, merit roll and awards for cooperation with others. In the summer time I enjoy camping and canoeing. This summer I am planning on starting a pet sitting service. As an extra activity, I enjoy painting and making other art work.
