Abstract:Does a corked bat make a baseball have greater average speed than a regular wood bat? The project hypothesis says that if cork is added to a hollowed out wood bat , then it will generate more ball speed than an unmodified wood bat. Based on the results of the experiment, the hypothesis was accepted. Corked bats generate greater average ball speed.
