Is Its Bark Worse Than Its Bite?

Abstract:The essential oils of evergreen tree needles, were extracted and then used to test for antimicrobial properties. Six different evergreen trees were used, Balsam Fir, Red Spruce, White Spruce, Red Pine, White Pine, and Larch. The antimicrobial properties of the oils were tested against two species of bacteria, E-coli, a gram negative bacteria, and Staphlycoccus spp. a gram positive bacteria.
