Trash to Gas: Renewable Biogas Energy
Challenge:Environment
Category:Junior
Region:North Bay
City:North Bay, ON
School:St. Hubert E.S.
Abstract:Waste is deposited into the earth in ways that create unnecessary high levels of methane – this greenhouse gas causes global warning and damages our environment. There are exciting alternative approaches to reducing these by capturing and processing waste locally to produce biogas energy and not transport waste or energy across distances which is expensive and adds to man’s carbon footprint. Biogas generators!
