Biographie
I am a Grade 7 student who has always like to ask questions. The inspiration for my project came from looking at a rusty SOS pad sitting on the kitchen counter. I wondered if there were any simple ways to prevent the pads from rusting so quickly. I like lots of different kinds of activities. I play hockey, baseball and snowboard. At school I am on the robotics team, in the choir and am a member of the school drama club. I hope to go to university and become a botanist studying the growth rates of trees.

Sommaire:Are you annoyed when your SOS pads rust after just one use? This experiment investigated household treatments for preventing rust on SOS pads. Used SOS pads were placed in ten different treatments and the rust formed over seven days was observed and quantified. The most effective treatments for preventing rust on SOS pads were aluminum foil wrapping, freezing, sealing in plastic bags and Vaseline coating.
