Biography
Hello I'm Julianna Wanke. I currently attending Falcon Beach School. I'm 16 years old and am currently in grade 10. I enjoy academics especially science and math and I also play all kinds of sports and I run in many marathons. I also play the fiddle with the frontier fiddler. My projects inspiration came from my passion for the outdoors and fishing. I was thinking about how different soaps are bad for our lakes. I plan on making a useable filter that will remove soap from water before it leaves the home setting. If your thinking about do a science fair project I suggest you start by picking something you are passionate about, this makes it more fun and interesting for you.

Soapless Water
Challenge:Environment
Category:Intermediate
Region:Frontier Schools
City:West Hawk Lake, MB
School:Falcon Beach School
Abstract:My project focusses on removing soap from water when already dissolved together. Once soap leaves the home setting it makes it's way into the waterways, it can potentially create an algae bloom because there is too much phosphates that could end up harming certain species in the area. I created a device that fits in a drain and separates the soap from the water.
