Abstract:I am measuring the sugar content in liquids using the refraction of a light beam that travels through a prism with a liquid inside. I am doing this by calculating its refraction index, known as the ratio of the change of the speed of light, using Snell's Law, Ni*=Sin(Ai)=Nr*Sin(AR). When sugar is within the 2 mediums, the sugar causes the light to refract more horizontally.
