Margaret - Margaret Ellis-Young lives in Saskatoon,SK and attends Walter Murray Collegiate Institute. At school, she takes part in the Courtyard Club. She enjoys highland dancing and bagpiping at a competitive level. She also enjoys making movies with her friends. One of her most notable experiences was traveling to Europe with her family in 2007 and 2008. | Elizabeth - Elizabeth Hill is 16 years old and lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She goes to Walter Murray Collegiate Institute in the advanced program. She plays community and school basketball, was on the cross country team, and enjoys swimming. Elizabeth loves reading and writing. She is an American and Canadian citizen. She has never been to Canada Wide before, but has always liked science. Last year, she did a science fair with the same partner and received 1st place in her category at both regional and virtual science fair. At school she is part of the courtyard club, which is dedicated to fixing the school’s courtyard. She loves animals. She owns a dog, guinea pig, and bird. The possible BPA was extracted and analyzed. Overall, warmer water temperatures cause more BPA leaching. The levels of BPA found were far below the allowable daily intake levels set by various organizations. This experiment was conducted with Dr. John Giesy and Dr. Hong Chang. |
