| From the Bottom Up: Self-Assembly by Lateral Capillary Forces
Division: | Health Sciences / None | Category: | Senior | Region: | | City: | , | School: | | Abstract: | From the Bottom Up: Self-Assembly by Lateral Capillary Forces examines the use of capillary forces to assemble plastic blocks in a liquid-air interface, and how the blocks can be manipulated as to be assembled in desired patterns. Inducing attractions and repulsions can influence the blocks in such ways which their movement can be predicted and furthermore used in the creation of small technologies. |
