Biography
My name is Tevin Samuel D. I am 13 years old and was born in Canada. Currently, I am studying in the 8th grade at New Covenant Church School, where my favorite subjects are math and science. I have won several medals in science fair projects conducted by the school and for math conducted by the University of Waterloo. My hobby is assembling/modifying toy cars, and drawing. my pleasure outdoor activities are playing soccer, ice-hockey, baseball, and football. I have been playing drum and guitar for 7 years. My ambition is that I want to be an engineer scientist or a CFO. Since my childhood, my parents borrowed lots of books from public libraries mainly about technology and engineering such as bridges, skyscrapers, planes and also videos about “How things are Made” etc. I hope to further investigate my project by carrying out lots of experiments. If successful, this technology could be used on various other things such as on houses, office buildings, ships etc. The inspiration I got for my project was by looking at my cousin’s hot wheel cars. My advice to other students thinking about doing a project is do something considering the environment or underdeveloped countries.

Color Changing Car
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Junior
Region:Toronto
City:Toronto, ON
School:New Covenant Church School
Abstract:This project is a car that changes color to moderate temperature. It works because dark colors absorb heat and light colors don’t. Dyed liquid is forced into a gap between layers of the car body. My hypothesis is that this saves power, so I have designed an experiment which proved that a color changing car is possible and would make an electric car more efficient.
