Rohan - My name is Rohan Batchu I'm a 13 year old, I have a passion for science and math. Science feeds my curiosity to explore interesting topics and math challenges me to be more enthusiastic in it. In everyday life, I've always been interested in topics that hold promise for real life applications. Especially my explorations and innovations revolve around our growing environmental issues to provide solutions around it. Last year I worked on integrating Savonious and Darrieus models to maximize wind power output and this year on CO2 reduction. I always find that the investigation of topics of one’s personal interest is the most rewarding experience and I am glad being participant at 2016-CWSF. I participate in math and science competitions to complement my learning process and received honorable mentions, honor rolls, and awards for the same. At Ontario Skills challenge along with my team could secure 2015-Gold and 2014-Bronze. My hobbies are swimming, soccer, tennis and volunteering in the community library. My future aspirations are to become an astronaut and expand the services of CANADARM in space or may invent enriched technology making a remarkable Canadian contribution to the International Space Station.
Anthony - Anthony Louie is a grade 8 student at Boxwood Public School in the Gifted Program. He is incredibly enthusiastic about STEM, and hopes to pursue a career in it. In the past, he has participated in many STEM related competitions, including the York Region Skills Challenge with his team; winning gold 3 times, and going onto the Ontario Technological Skills Competition. This is his first time in a science fair. This year, his project is the Innovation For Efficient CO2 Reduction, which was inspired after seeing the many problems in the world today. The innovation can purify water, generate electricity, reduce CO2 (in atmosphere or otherwise), create useful chemicals, create synthetic fuels, and provide a heat source and cook top for developing nations. He really hopes to make a physical working model of the innovation in the future. On his free time, he enjoys learning about theoretical physics, 3D modeling, making computer games, programming and expanding his general scientific knowledge.

A Multifunctional Innovation For Efficient CO2 Reduction
Challenge:Environment
Category:Junior
Region:York
City:Markham, ON
School:Boxwood P.S.
Abstract:Air pollution, water pollution, climate change, the energy crisis and the water crisis are probably the biggest problems in our world today. In order to solve some of these global issues, we created A Multifunctional Innovation For Efficient CO2 Reduction. This multifunctional innovation can reduce CO2, generate electricity, filter water, and more. This can hopefully be applied to solve the problems in the world today.
