| Mackenzie - Mackenzie Finch is a grade seven student who is on both the Principals and Diligence Lists at Coquihalla Middle School in Merritt, British Columbia. At present time Mackenzie participates in Volleyball for the Merritt X–treme Volleyball Club, has participated in any form of dance for the last five years, has played piano for five years, and rides her motorbike. She also loves to read. Her accomplishments include being awarded the Fine Arts Award (2008), and a gold medal in 2008 (Novice) and 2009 (Junior) for the Regional Science Fair. She dreams of being a Marine Mammal Biologist but also would like to experience traveling the world and dancing on Broadway. | | Kelsey - Kelsey Kynoch is a grade 7 student who is on both the Principals List and Diligence List at Coquihalla Middle School in Merritt, British Columbia. She enjoys rural life with her family and friends and has been a member of the Nicola Valley 4-H Beef Club and Little Britches Rodeo for the past 7 years. She plays on the Merritt Extreme Club Volleyball Team and loves reading and working with animals. Her accomplishments include the Gold medal in 2008 (Novice) and 2009 (Junior) at the Regional Science Fair. Kelsey plans to pursue a science degree after secondary school. She is honored and excited to be attending the Canada Wide Science Fair in Winnipeg. |

The purpose was to determine if the contents of dog saliva would create a natural antibiotic for human use. Grown in a controlled setting, results indicated that the E-coli bacteria was more dominant, as it inhibited the growth of the dog saliva, and was thus ineffective. |
