Biography
My name is Roman Koszucki. I am 13 years old and live in Wolfville, Nova Scotia with my parents, George and Jacqueline. I am in Grade 7 at Wolfville Junior High. Some of my school activities are: soccer, intramurals, dances, PALS (Gr. 6), DARE (Drugs and Resistance Education - Gr. 6). My hobbies and interests include: video games, soccer, snowboarding, music, movies, money, etc. Awards I have received are: 2010 Annapolis Valley Regional Science Fair awards, cross-country ribbons, school Music Festival awards, Soccer Game MVP (U-14 soccer) and New Minas Invitational Soccer Tournament ribbons. My post-secondary plans are to attend Acadia so I can live at home and save money while earning a business degree before becoming a financial advisor. My many friends say I am very kind, have a great sense of humor, and I am out-going.

The Spill on Dawn

Abstract:This project investigated how well dish detergents, in particular Dawn, are at removing oil from bird’s feathers. Feathers were weighed, dipped in oil, washed, rinsed, dried and reweighed. The assessment was based on 3 responses: feather condition, feather structure and oil removed. It was determined that Dawn was the best because it removed the most oil and was the most gentle.
