Handwashing and Gloves: Making the Right Choice, Part III
Division:International
Category:Senior
Region:Cariboo Mainline
City:Kamloops, BC
School:St Ann's Academy
Abstract:The purpose of this research project was to determine if there was a relationship between washing hands prior to the application of the sterile glove, bacterial growth on the hands, and length of time that sterile gloves were worn. The statistical results demonstrate that while bacterial growth increases with time, handwashing is not necessary prior to application of gloves.
