Biography
My name is Ty Godfrey. I’m a grade 7 French Immersion student at Lawrence Grassi Middle School in Canmore, Alberta, a small mountain community located in the Canadian Rockies. My favourite subjects are math and science. This year is my first Science Fair experience. At the Regionals, I won multiple awards (4) including the “Excellence in Scientific Inquiry”- Best Overall trophy. I like music and play clarinet and saxophone in my school bands but I LOVE sports. I’m a competitive XC-skier and have won Gold medals at the Western Canadian Championships, Alberta Winter Games and a bronze medal at the North American Youth Championships. In the off season, I play forward for Canmore’s Rep soccer team and won the Provincial Championships last year. I was the season’s top scorer. I also love to mountain bike, unicycle and run track and field. I enjoy wood carving, reading, art, collecting knives, watches, Royal Canadian Mint coins, and soccer jerseys. My favourite books are Percy Jackson. When I graduate, I plan to represent Canada at the Olympic Games in XC-skiing before I go to university. I am also a twin. My brother Reed pushes me to success in everything I do.

Abstract:The question examined was: Does the colour of a bird feeder effect the volume of food, winter birds that frequent the Bow Valley will eat?
