Biography
My name is Rosaele Tremblay. I speak three languages (French, German and English), play the piano in my free time and take singing lessons as well. I work at the swimming pool as a slide attendant but plan on becoming a lifeguard very soon. Last year I went on a three week trip to Peru to bring supplies and clothes for street boys and work with them. It was an unforgettable experience and this year we are heading out on a German exchange for two weeks in the summer. I enjoy learning new things and I have an interest in sciences and plan to pursue a medically related career, most likely surgery.

Infrared Black Ice Detector
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Senior
Region:East Kootenay
City:Fernie, BC
School:The Fernie Academy
Abstract:My innovation is an infrared device that is mounted on vehicles that can detect and warn the driver of black ice coming up ahead when driving in winter conditions. Pictures taken with an infrared camera showed that the results from this project could be useful in ensuring our roads are safer and preventing numerous road accidents that occur every year due to invisible black ice.
