Dawson - Dawson Heggestad is 13 years old he is involved in volleyball, basketball, track and field, hockey and ball hockey. In his spare time he likes to invent cool stuff, hang with friends and snowboard. When he grows up he would like to be a professional snowboarder or an engineer.
Harlan - My name is Harlan Wutzke and I am a grade nine student from Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. I am interested in many sports (hockey, soccer, track and volleyball), and I enjoy hanging out with my friends and watching movies. I work as a minor hockey referee as well as for my father on weekends at Saskatoon Truck Parts. Regarding post secondary education, my main interests are engineering and business entrepeneurship. Our project started with our fathers' discussion regarding the high cost to dispose of a product they both use, Absorb-All. Our goal was to find a way to reduce their costs by recycling the product. However, it was equally important for us to do this as efficiently as possible and in an eco-friendly manner. Future directions for us is to be able to complete this process on a larger scale and to promote it to local companies. We have polled companies about the recycling service and response has been positive. My advice for any other students would be to find something they are passionate about and pursue it to the best of his/her ability. Anything is worth trying once!

Abstract:A single litre of oil contaminates a million litres of water. Essentially the re-use of our natural resources must be promoted and processes developed to lead people in an environmentally friendly direction.
