Biography
My name is Gabriella Fourie. I am from Dalmeny. I go to Dalmeny High School and I'm in grade 8. Some of my interests are sports, music, and science. Last year I received High Honours and the General Proficiency award at my school. I also went to Griffiths and then Districts for the 800m. I am not entirely sure what I would like to do after high school. But I would probably be working in the health field. The idea for my project came from my mother. She heard on the radio about experiments being done on copper about its antimicrobial properties. She then suggested it to me as a project after my original wasn't going to work. In the future I would like to find out if it is possible to make a substance with the same properties as copper but not actually copper. If I were to give advice to students doing a project I would tell them to be organized and always have a back up project encase the first project does not work out for you.
