Biography
My name is Chloe Chen. I am in grade 8 at West Point Grey Academy in Vancouver. This is my first time at CWSF, though I did participate in the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair last year, along with several other students from my school. I am very excited to be going to Windsor this year! Other activities I am participating in this year include the school orchestra, for which I am going to Whistler for the Con Brio Festival, and Destination Imagination, for which I am going to Tennessee for the international competition. My hobbies include watching anime and painting, and my favourite subjects at school are science and art.

A Better Wind Turbine - The C Airfoil
Challenge:Innovation
Category:Junior
Region:Greater Vancouver
City:Vancouver, BC
School:West Point Grey Academy
Abstract:The purpose of my project is to improve the efficiency of current wind turbines. Many of the websites I consulted suggested that wind turbine blades today are based almost entirely on airplane wings. From this, I was able to improve the efficiency of wind turbine blades by first studying the differences between wind turbines' and airplanes' behaviours, and then modifying the blades accordingly.
