Biography
Hello! My name is Eshal Ali and I am a Grade 8 French immersion student at Seaway District High School. I am 13 years old and I am very keen about S.T.E.M, especially biology. I have many sports I like such as badminton, swimming and basketball. I am an honour roll student and am planning on continuing S.T.E.M throughout university to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. I have won many awards throughout my life, but my biggest achievement is winning gold at United Counties Science Fair and moving on to CWSF. Science fair has definitely been a notable experience for me. I have learnt initiative, communicational and organizational skills throughout it. My experiment was a biology-based experiment about germs on surfaces. My inspiration came from my future career choice and my devotion to science. I definitely encourage other students to try science fair as it is an enjoyable learning experience. If you’re planning on doing an experiment, I suggest you choose one that interests you. For further investigations I would conduct science experiments in all types of fields so I can broaden my knowledge. I would undoubtedly continue science fair in the upcoming years.

Abstract:This year I developed an experiment about germs on different surfaces we encounter daily. This was interesting because I was able to find out how many germs were growing on different surfaces at school. It helps society realize that there are many germs that can make us sick even if we don’t see them, so we should sustain proper personal hygiene to protect ourselves.
